Carly Zucker and Nicola Mclean have previously been brought in for potential bikini appeal, while Dani Behr admits herself that going into the jungle is “the fastest, but not the most dignified way” to make a comeback.
Ex-EastEnder Joe Swash and Simon Webbe from Blue are typical I’m a Celeb contestants. Brian Paddick, ex deputy commissioner in the Met is obviously seeking to move from notorious newsmaker to media personality.
You may also wonder what Martina Navratilova, Esther Rantzen and Robert Kilroy Silk hope to get out of it. OK, a massive increase in profile for a few weeks or months, but even so, you would have thought these well established names would have more to lose than to gain. Whatever their motivation, I’m sure a Martine-Esther clash is on the cards, a real gift for the ratings.
