Kerry split from spendaholic ex Mark Croft back in March last year.  We all know the guy bleed her dry, she went from fellow millionaire West Life singer to home town cabbie driver – RANDOM!  Now I know a lot of people think she should just disappear from the public eye and never be heard from again, but I say “stop and remember what her journey has been!”

She had a pretty bad upbringing bouncing round foster homes and living with an unstable mother, and then she started working as a lap dancer at the age of 19. Not exactly a wholesome start for any kid. Then she got her big break with Atomic Kitten and became a household name for all the right reasons. Next she marries Brian McFadden and had two gorgeous kids, leaves Atomic Kitten and life should be happy ever after…but it’s not.

She wins I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Hear, yes the general public voted for her in their millions and crowned her queen of the jungle after watching her and thinking she was a great gal. She won celebrity Mum of the Year for two years running and was pretty much the golden girl of day time telly for a few years. Not bad for a girl from Warrington who started off life being pushed from one vulnerable situation to the other.

Then Brian dumps her on the phone for an Aussie hottie…I should imagine she was unbelievealbly crushed and not actually able to take this in. It was all so public and invasive. Next thing we all read in the press is that she has met a cabbie from her home town and she has got married.  If this was anyone else not in the public eye, you would definitely think this was a rebound relationship and hope that this guy would take care of her.

What does he do, had 2 children with her straight away, blows her millions on flash cars and such, allows her to go on This Morning when she is clearly drunk.  Somehow she is suddenly doing cocaine in the family home (he must be on it too as she is not hiding it) and she is also bankrupt. Sorry but all this bad stuff didn’t happen to her before she got involved with this guy. I can’t see how he has helped her at all. If anything I think he is to blame for her downfall and all I can see is someone trying to better themselves and claim back what they once had for all the right reasons.

So let’s give this girl a break and wish her a happy birthday and success for all the right reasons in the future. You go Kerry, sort yourself out!

I also have a second reason for basing today’s article on the subject of buying for yourself, it’s actually my birthday on Thursday.  Happy b’day to me! (Hnnarrr goes one of those trumpety things you blow through) and I am going to make a gift giving confession this year, I am not going to buy my sister a birthday gift. We share our birthday, although we are 3 years apart and after 31 birthdays together she has only ever bought me 3 gifts. Yes, just 3 and every year I have bought her one, even though I have kids and she doesn’t. She doesn’t even buy them one. So this year I am being very naughty, I’ve got her a card and I am going to buy myself something from her….especially as I spent £1500 going to her wedding abroad this year, too!
