We’re looking for some lovely bloggers to have their own voice on our BoutiqueToYou.co.uk blog to provide our customers your reviews and thoughts instead of just hearing from us all the time. In return, your blog will be promoted a link and biog, both of which will be featured underneath the post. We’ll also be sharing links to anything you write for us on Twitter and Facebook. We have a growing following!  The thing we need to know for sure is that this article is ours exclusively and won’t be published anywhere else (not even your own blog). Of course, by all means, mention on your blog that you’ve blogged FOR us and link it back but please don’t put the article itself there.

MAIN TEXT – Pick anything from our site that you LOVE and tell us and everyone else why it is you like it or maybe talk about something topical and involve that as part of the post. So long as one or more of our products or the site itself is mentioned we’re happy. Any images and your bio will be put into the blog post by us.

BIOGRAPHY – Please send us 2-3 lines about yourself and a link to your blog so we can add it to your guest blog.

I won’t say too much if you didn’t catch it but The King’s Speech cleaned up (as expected). It’s interesting to see if the hyped up films do get the awards at the BAFTA’s and the Oscars, but the bits that interest me the most are a) the dresses of the attendees and b) the goody bags! All the lovely unusual gifts provided by the sponsors make me really jealous of the nominees who recieve them – I want a gorgeous tote bag filled with luxury drinks, make up and other gifty stuff!

I think it would be really fun to have your own BAFTAs party. Firstly set a black tie dress code . Get some friends and family round, create a signature cocktail for the evening and order in some bottles of Champagne especially for the evening with your own personalised label printed on for that exclusive touch. Perhaps you could even make some canapes to snack

The lengths you go to are up to you but I think going all out is the best option. When I get the time to do this I think I’ll also do a mock awards ceremony and think of something positive about each of my guests with an award for each person’s great quality.

Scottie Dog Money Box

Saving pennies is hard at any time but especially after Christmas. Since I was little, I have had a piggy bank and I’ve always put my loose change in and found that it soon mounts up! Once it’s full, I’ve either taken it to the bank or put it in one of those ‘Coinstar’ machines where you get a voucher to exchange for the cash and a percentage goes to charity so you feel like you’re doing your good deed for the day at the same time. Like many of you, money is a bit tight for me at the moment so it’s just a case of save, save, save and what better way to do so than in a beautiful money box. It certainly makes the job a whole lot more pleasant.

I love vintage and vintage inspired things whether its clothes or things I’d put in my hypothetical house. All kitsch, retro things really cheer me up and this gorgeous little black ‘Scottie Dog’ money box is a beautiful, ornamental item. As I’ve mentioned before, I love functional, pretty stuff and this is exactly that sort of thing. My favourite bit is the little green tartan bow at his neck…so, so cute.
