Our 4th idea for an unusual Christmas gift is taking inspiration from being at home with the kids over the summer holidays. As lovely as it is to be spending some quality time with the children, 6 weeks is a long time to have to constantly entertain the troops. It can also be quite costly, too unless you happen to be Tony Hart (I’m showing my age now) coupled with an amazing imagination for coming up with ideas for junk modelling.
So why not get creative this summer and try and take some super pictures of the children. Most of us have digital cameras and if you are anything like me you’re great at actually taking lots of snaps, just terrible at getting round to printing them! You’ve got at least another 2 weeks to amass tons of snaps and if you get clicking a lot there are bound to be a couple in there that look semi professional.
If you are feeling really adventurous why not try the arm extended self picture of you and the kids too. Or if you have a timer on your camera you could all have some fun as Mummy or Daddy rush back to the sofa before the flash goes off. Quite a good way to keep it, too ;-0 !
Choose your favourite pics and take them down to your local printers to be developed, even if your favourite photo has you all with red eyes, you can easily fix this down at the printers. Our local printers have a Kodak machine where you pop in your flash card, usb or whatever you have your images on. You select the picture you want to print and it offers you the option to automatically correct red eyes! FAB!
Once you have your pictures, you now have a fantastic subject for our unique Christmas ideas number 4! Put your picture or pictures in our new personalised Christmas Santa design photo frame!
Laser engraved with a standard ‘Merry Christmas’ and Santa face motif at the top and space for 2 lines of your own text/message at the bottom. For example ‘To Granddad, Lots of Love from Tom xx’ The frame is made from solid wood and the overall frame size is 9” x 9” the photo size is 5” x 5”. It costs £14.99 with free delivery.
Or alternatively if you are all feeling a little camera shy, why not get your little ones to make a special picture to be put in the frame….go on … get creative!
