My Mum loves perfume and she always wears the same brand. Whenever I have decided to buy her perfume for Christmas or her birthday or Mother’s Day so does someone else. When you are spending £40 or more on a bottle of perfume, you really don’t want this to happen. After the second time this happened I vowed never to buy her perfume again!
So this leaves the obvious categories of chocolates, jewellery, accessories or clothes. Clothes are difficult as you have to get the right size. Even when I buy for myself and don’t try it on first I often get it wrong So I would say “no” to clothes too as the perfect gift. Accessories, scarves, handbags and such. A definite maybe. Although, again you have to be sure of the person’s tastes before you buy. So, perfect gift? No, not for me and my Mum.
Jewellery, is this the perfect Mum gift? Yes, possibly. When giving the perfect Mum gift, it has be something that she is going to want to keep and not exchange. Something she will wear all the time (if it is jewellery) or at least wear for all her special occasions. Therefore it has to be something a little bit extra special. Something like the fingerprint links of love charm bracelet. It is a piece of jewellery that any Mum is guaranteed to treasure forever. I want one…so someone have a word with my hubby, please!
But for me the ultimate perfect Mum gift is one that you can eat, yes good old fashioned CHOCOLATE what better way to say “thanks and I love you” than two dozen lovely Lindt chocolate truffles wrapped into a sumptuous bouquet.?
