In a bizarre but true story, Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly have evaded attack by the Taliban. No, the Afghani warlords weren’t deliberately attacking the Saturday night TV stars. It turns out they just happened to be at Kandahar airport, the Daily Mirror reported recently, while visiting Afghanistan to give a bravery award to troops.

The cheeky chaps were presenting a Pride of Britain Award, a small gift for some of the country’s unsung heroes, to the Medical Emergency Response Team at Camp Bastion in Helmand province. The team received their award for rescuing injured colleagues from the front line.
