British music did well at the Grammy music awards this week, with the gift of several gongs for the girls.
After 4 nominations Adele picked up the award for best new artist and best female pop vocal performance.
Duffy was nominated for Best New Artist, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for Mercy and Best Pop Vocal Album for Rockferry. In the end she won the Best Pop Vocal Album.
Estelle won the best rap/sung collaboration Boy, featuring Kanye West. Leona Lewis didn’t make the cut despite three nominations.
