The X Factor Best of British week did nothing for Daniel who, despite being a lovely chap, got the boot after his rendition of Tom Jones’s “It’s Not Unusual”. The sixth contestant to be booted off the show was determined by a sing off between two of Danii Minogue’s mentees. Rachel Hylton’s performance trumped 38 year old Daniel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water. Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell all voted against former pool-cleaner Daniel.
And after some initial doubts and the gift of a week off, Diana made it back after last week’s throat problems with a slightly croaky performance of Coldplay’s Yellow. Loser Laura White has been busy turning on Christmas lights in Cambridge and headlining a concert in Kent.
