Patrick Swayze has described chemotherapy as “hell on wheels”. The star who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January has fought back over the past year and is in the studio again. Swayze, 56, is working on a new U.S. television police drama “The Beast”. In the series, Swayze plays a veteran FBI agent.
Patrick Swayze hit the big time with “Dirty Dancing” in 1987 after originally training as a professional dancer. The surprise hit should have gone straight to video, but has been a real gift to Swayze’s career. It was the first film to sell one million copies on video and has earned over $US 300-million worldwide and spawned several alternate versions, ranging from a television series to stage productions to a computer game.
