Doctor Who?

Sadly it is time for the 10th Doctor, David Tennant, to hang up the sonic screwdriver and say good bye as Doctor Who. Tennant’s fans have just four more special episodes to look forward to in 2009, as well as this year’s Christmas special. According to Reuters, the actor said, “I’ve had the most brilliant, bewildering and life changing time working on ‘Doctor Who’. I have loved every day of it. It would be very easy to cling on to the Tardis console forever and I fear that if I don’t take a deep breath and make the decision to move on now, then I simply never will. You would be prising the Tardis key out of my cold dead hand.”

David Tennant won’t lack opportunities. He was commended for his performance in “Hamlet” earlier this year. But who will get the gift of the role of the 11th Doctor Who? And is it true that the Doctor can only regenerate 13 times?
