The Golden Globe Awards on Sunday brought Kate Winslet a double gift as she has the unusual experience of receiving two awards. This is only the third time in the entire history of the awards that any one actor has won two prizes for their performances.
Kate was given the trophy for best actress in a drama for her role as a frustrated housewife in “Revolutionary Road”. After that, she received a second award for being the best supporting actress. This award was for her role as a German woman with a hidden past in “The Reader.” Kate commented, “It’s just unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable. It’s not supposed to happen”.
