Sometimes, stars all seem to go for the same style at once. It may be fashion, but says nothing for individuality. Kate Winslet first appeared in a charcoal grey bandage dress at The Reader’s New York premiere. Now Herve Leger’s winter fashion hit has been seen on Cheryl Cole, Kelly Brook, Rachel Weisz , Victoria Beckham, Rachel Stevens and Leona Lewis.
The dress, which retails at over £1000, is not going to be a Christmas winner for women with a normal figure: elasticated bandages leave little to the imagination and no scope for a Christmas dinner at all. Despite the compressing effect of the bandages bulges can still pop out: leave it off this year’s Christmas gift list and ask for something more forgiving perhaps.
