Hugh Jackman has two adopted children with wife Deborra-Lee Furness. He claims that his riding lessons for new movie ‘Australia’ have taught him a lot about how to parent eight-year-old Oscar and Ava, three. The lessons in how to control a horse have come with a bonus gift: how t control a family too. Jackman says, “I learn a lot about parenting from riding a horse. It’s the same thing. You can whack a horse – I’ve seen people do it. They whack them, they kick them, they do all that and you can get a horse to do something, but I was very lucky to have two trainers who taught me how to make the horse feel it’s their idea. I tell you, as a parent it is the greatest thing I’ve ever learned. No longer do my children have a bit between their mouths.”
Like many parents, Jackman also feels like he is turning into his dad, with the same phrases tripping out of his mouth.
