More Publicity For Russell Brand

by Antonia on November 20, 2008

We couldn’t avoid commenting on the Russell Brand / Jonathan Ross fiasco over the last few weeks. Brand at least seems to have suffered little in the publicity maelstrom that he creates around him. With a front cover pic on the Observer Magazine last week the star has just increased his marketability. The episode seems to have really angered Andrew Sachs who even complained about the wording of the BBC’s apology, demanding that it should also specify his ‘wife and family’ as well as apologising to himself and granddaughter Georgina Baillie. Brand is now in talks about a role in Pirates of the Caribbean, and I predict that his book and DVDs will feature on a few more Christmas gift lists as a result of the furore.
