If you’ve been following the shocking news from Mumbai, you’ll know just how dangerous the Indian city has been for westerners in the last few days. The Times has revealed that Princess Eugenie had been staying at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel shortly before the attack. Unconfirmed reports claim that one of the terrorists was shot dead in the bedroom where she had slept.
Like many in their late teens, the princess is taking a year out travelling. Unlike the rest of us who are free to admit is it a year old bumming around, Princess Eugenie has gone to India “to learn about oriental art”. She also has a Scotland Yard royal protection officer with her which may cramp her gap year activities.
