Film director dad Kirk Jones has just upped the stakes in teacher’s gifts. He arranged for Kate Beckinsale and Robert De Niro to hand out gongs to stunned teachers via a video link-up at the end of term ceremonies £3,500-a-term Davenies boys’ school in Beaconsfield. This unusual gift makes a mug with ‘best teacher’ on it look a little passé!
