A 1996 novel by actor Hugh Laurie has become a surprise hit in France.’The Gun Seller’ tells the story of an ex-soldier drawn into a Bond-style terror plot.A translation was released in France in January with the title Tout Est Sous Controle (Everything’s Under Control) and was the country’s top-selling book in March, according to book magazine Livres Hebdo.
Laurie’s US medical drama House is a big hit in France.
