Hen Party Gifts Are A Great Memento Of A Girlie Weekend ( Hen Party Gifts )

In my mind, when someone mentions a Hen Night, it conjours up images of a gaggle of loud, mouthy women covered in L-Plates, sashes and some sort of fancy dress uniform. Although people still do the strippers, wear the pink cowboy hats and fall out of clubs dressed as naughty police women, I think there’s been a gradual shift towards a more sophisticated sending off these days. Last year, I went to my first hen do and the theme was ‘Black and Bling’. We still did the limo up to Newcastle, the sashes and the rude cocktail stirrers but it was far more of a sophisticated affair. Instead of fancy dress we donned our best little black dresses plus a bit of sparkle and had a nice meal followed by a few cocktails and a bit of dancing.

In the past couple of years, I’ve noticed hen party gifts creeping in. A special souvenir of your friend getting married that you can look back on for years to come and remember the great time you all had. The latest big trends are personalised items such as cocktail and shot glasses. A great way to celebrate your special occasion and give your friends something practical but pretty as a thanks for being part of it all.

Whether it’s a weekend away to a big city or somewhere abroad are in vogue right now. Hen parties have become a really big occasion instead of one messy night out. Whole weeks are taken off work and lots of money is pumped into having the perfect, most exciting hen night money can buy. Going on shopping weekends, spa retreats, cocktail making classes, burlesque workshops it’s all going on! I think it’s less about your last night of freedom and more about an excuse to have lots of time with your nearest and dearest. Because life is so busy and so much quality time with your friends is rare, hen party gifts are the thing that will really make the perfect end to a perfect time. On my friend’s hen night we all got a keyring with a group photo in as a little memento of the night and it makes me smile whenever I look at it.

So when you’re planning your hen do or helping plan a friend’s, you can follow the new ritual of glamour, giggles and gifts which seems to be the way to go these days. I can’t wait for the next one!
