Research News: In Strasbourg, Luc Marlier, researcher at the CNRS ( National Centre of Scientific Research ) has been using Vanilla essential oil in the ward caring for premature babies. Results : 82% less apnea episodes which are common in fisrt 5=7 days of the life of a premature baby. The use of essential oils has also helped to calm babies down during blood tests, injections .. Vanilla is also used in some hospitals before patients go for MRI as it reduce significantly their anxiety.
