How hard can it be to find that elusive, unusual gift? You want the recipient´s jaw to drop in amazement and wonder at your unique gift. Is it really so hard to find unusual gifts and presents?
We are all so used to receiving the likes of calendars, cds, perfume, chocolates and don´t get me wrong they are gifts that are usually very much appreciated. The only thing is they don´t have that va va voom about them! Often money is put into the gift first and the thought last.
With the boom in fabulous online gift shops it is so easy to now go that extra mile and seek out what may have previously been unfound. Here are a few of my suggestions for unusual gift ideas to make someone´s day:
Novelty washing up gloves - now these aren´t expensive but they can turn a mundane never ending chore into something that would please any domestic goddess. She knows she has to wash up and dust but why not add a bit of humour to it?
Chocolate bouquets- this gift is a double whammy. Give to someone who loves chocolates and flowers! These bouquets are a fairly new concept but the chocolates are aranged to look like a really expensive flower arrangement. Admire for a while and then devour - what a joy for a chocoholic!
Collectable keepsakes - do they collect something they love or as a hobby? Choosing a gift that is related to their hobbies or something they are interested in will really make them think you have considered your gift to them.
A personalised mug - again an inexpensive gift but one that can show you have a sense of humour. There are so many ways to get a mug personalised these days. One of my personal favourites is a tea or coffee mug with their name and how much milk and sugar they take - love it!
Seeking out unique gifts and unusual birthday presents is now so much easier than it ever was!
